Founder, Dylan Williamson, a trans surfer and designer, began working on the Waysyders concept in early 2020, a project catalyzed by years of altering pre-existing swimsuits and activewear to adjust fit for affirming use. A childhood spent in lycra, neoprene and gore-tex as an (at times competitive) surfer, skier, cyclist, runner and climber showed Dylan that oftentimes high-end activewear designed to enhance human performance was completely irrelevant if it wasn’t comfortable, built to last and affirming.

When Waysyders launched in 2024, we discovered that our products resonated not only with the trans community, but with people from all walks of life. Our community values well-made, supportive garments that offer comfort, coverage, and personality—because everyone deserves activewear that works for them.
